We were on Cape Canaveral shooting the rocket launch for the Mission to Mars , WOW !! There we ran into John Rummel ,NASA's man for Astrobiology who carries the world's coolest job title of "Planetarian Protection Officer" .Apparently he is the man in charge if we should make contact with one of the others .
Very U-2. We met awesome ,lovely and very cool actress Ann Magnusson at her place in Joshua Tree National Park .She is such an interesting and warm person and we had a total blast crawling around the beautiful rock formations in the sunset ,shot for Conde Nast Traveler magazine.
It all came down to finding the right dog , we casted several lovely specimens until we found this one ,who became the very iconic Ser Snip

Turns out he is is very cool - his deepest passion is his music ,he is a very accomplished musician ,Together with his wife Jennifer they do some real important work with their foundation "NOVO" which supports women with educational and empowering projects worldwide .
Céline Cousteau who is the deep sea diving granddaughter of Jacques Cousteau just got back from a trip to the Carribbean. We were on such a crazy deadline that we drove out to JFK and picked her up and drove to Coney Island . It was an incredible cold and crazy windy spring day but Celine made it all super fun .
Random House book covershoot (" Blind Date") with blind,German popstar Joana Zimmer.Joana was recording in NY, . She really loves the city and we took her all over town . I had parked the car in the East Village and we went for dinner. Coming back I couldn't find my car anymore -but Joana could ! Amazing !!! She had a memory of the sounds of the location where we had parked and that explained it all . Her manager in Berlin was not surprised when he heard the story .

The concept was to show the classical busy Manhattan tourist spots with a sleeper for a change .Initially I was really fond of the idea, having read the briefing it seemed a bit redundant for 10 shots and I tried to convince the art director of a different concept. He thought the idea was right .I was on the fence with the project until my teenage daughter Analena commented on it . Just do it Dad !! Turned out to be a fun story .
